We Need Faith Enough to Carry Our Doubts
The goal is not to wait until we feel completely fearless. The goal is to have faith strong enough to carry us through the fear.
FAITH

Have you ever had a moment where you questioned something you knew you were called to do?
Maybe you stepped out in faith. Maybe you started something new. Maybe you shared your story, your ideas, your gifts, or your heart with the world — and then doubt showed up.
“What if I fail?”
“What if people don’t like it?”
“What if I’m not good enough?”
I think many of us assume that confidence means we no longer have those thoughts. But the truth is, even people who appear confident have moments of fear and uncertainty.
I remember this as a songwriter. There were times I created something meaningful to me, but before anyone else heard it, fear would creep in. Would they like it? Would they understand it? Would it matter?
But we create anyway.
We share anyway.
We step forward anyway.
I once heard the quote: “It’s no joke to paint a portrait. Into the painting of every picture that’s worth [creating] there comes a period of doubt and despair. The artist, however, goes on with his work, beyond his doubt, to creative achievement.”
That is true for so many areas of life. The beautiful things we are called to create often come with moments of uncertainty.
The goal is not to wait until we feel completely fearless. The goal is to have faith strong enough to carry us through the fear.
God does not ask us to move forward because we have everything figured out. He asks us to trust Him as we walk.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith means we keep going even when we cannot see the finished picture yet.
At VoiceRise, we believe your voice still matters on the days you feel confident and on the days you need the reminder. Your purpose is still there. Your gifts are still valuable. Your story is still worth sharing.
Because sometimes the reminder we need most is this:
You do not have to be free of doubt to move forward. You just need to remember Who walks with you.
Speak Life. Rise Higher.
